Job description

Job Title : Head of Sales – Freight Forwarding & Logistics

Location : Los Angeles, CA

A leading global freight forwarding and supply chain solutions provider is seeking a Head of Sales to lead its Los Angeles sales team. This role requires a proven leader with experience managing a team of freight forwarding sales professionals and a strong track record in business development, client acquisition, and revenue growth . The ideal candidate will bring both strategic leadership and hands-on sales expertise to drive success in air, ocean, domestic, and warehousing solutions .

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales professionals to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to expand market presence.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities , leveraging industry contacts.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders .
  • Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs, and performance metrics .
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities .
  • Report on sales performance, forecasts, and growth strategies to senior management.

Qualifications :

  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience in freight forwarding or logistics .
  • Proven success in managing and developing sales teams .
  • Experience selling air, ocean, domestic, and warehousing services .
  • Strong ability to drive business development and bring in new accounts.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills .
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite .
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
