Position Summary :
Teach the equivalent of 12-15 credit hours per semester in the Hospitality Management area, with an emphasis in food and beverage management and hotel and lodging classes. Perform other duties expected of full-time faculty including maintaining scheduled office hours; developing and implementing course and program assessment of student learning outcomes; developing and maintaining relationships with industry and academic partners; participating in college, division, and department meetings; serving on committees; recruiting students; and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Minimum of three years industry experience.
- Demonstrated teaching experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills.
Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree in Hospitality Management, or related field.Supervisory responsibilities in a commercial kitchen.Budget responsibility for a hospitality enterprise.Operations experience, including P and L statements and human resource functions.Postsecondary teaching experience.Ability to teach between disciplines with an understanding of current trends in the hospitality workforce arena.A sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse backgrounds of community college students.To be considered for this position we will require an application, resume, cover letter and transcripts.
