Controller

Talis Group's client is manufacturer of consumer products and is searching for a hands-on Controller to manage the accounting functions and team at their Southern Indiana facility (Hybrid). Position will likely move into CFO role within a few months.  This is an excellent opportunity for a controller level accountant with experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Position supervises a shared services team of (Accounting, HR, and IT). Experience working in an ERP system is required. Responsibilities include financial analysis / statements / reporting, operating budget, internal controls, audit and insurance coordination with external partners. Cost accounting experience a plus. Highlighted Duties :

• Supervise Accounting, HR and IT professional team members.
• Assist and oversee timely month end close process.
• Financial statement creation and analysis.
• Cost accounting.
• Budget preparation.
• Maintain technical financial reporting system with GAAP controls and standards.
• Coordinate activities for annual reviews and audits.
• Prepare and process payroll and related payroll financial information.
• Support IT when making technology selections for evolving business operations.
