What you’ll do…

As an Event Intern, you will support the planning and execution of corporate events, trade shows, and external sales gatherings. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Client Relations & Events and will be based in our Houston headquarters, operating in a hybrid work environment. You will assist in event logistics, vendor coordination, marketing material preparation, and on-site event execution to ensure a seamless experience.

You’ll make an impact by :

  • Assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Supporting vendor communications, contract negotiations, and venue logistics.
  • Preparing marketing materials, event signage, and promotional items.
  • Coordinating internal resources for successful event delivery.
  • Tracking budgets, invoices, and expense reports related to events.
  • Managing guest lists, RSVPs, and event registration platforms.
  • Supporting post-event evaluations and reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with company branding and messaging guidelines.

Requirements :

  • Have a passion for event planning and logistics.
  • Are highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
  • Are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Salesforce.com and event management software.
  • What you’ll need :

  • Education- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Skills – Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge – Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Attributes – Proactive, resourceful, and enthusiastic about creating memorable events.
  • Position-Specific Core Competencies :
  • o Attention to Detail – Ability to manage complex logistics with precision.

    o Project Management – Knowledge of coordinating tasks, resources, and timelines.

    o Communication & Media – Understanding of marketing materials and event promotion.

    o Adaptability – Ability to shift priorities and problem-solve on the fly.

  • Physical requirements and working conditions : Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer, stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, strength to lift and carry files weighing up to 75 pounds; vision to read printed materials and a computer screen, and hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone
