1. Personal Care Assistance
Help with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.Assist with mobility, including transfers, walking, and the use of mobility aids.Monitor and assist with personal hygiene to ensure the well-being of the person served.2. Health and Wellness Support
Administer prescribed medications as instructed and document appropriately.Monitor health conditions, including vital signs, and report concerns to supervisors or medical professionals.Assist with physical therapy exercises or other therapeutic regimens as directed by healthcare providers.3. Meal Preparation and Nutrition
Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals, accommodating dietary restrictions and preferences.Ensure proper hydration and encourage healthy eating habits.Assist with feeding when necessary.4. Household Management
Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying up living areas.Run errands, including grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions.Maintain a safe and clean environment for the person served.5. Companionship and Emotional Support
Provide social interaction and companionship to reduce loneliness and promote emotional well-being.Engage in meaningful activities such as games, hobbies, or conversation.Offer encouragement and support to foster independence.6. Transportation Assistance
Drive or accompany individuals to medical appointments, social events, or errands.Assist with entering and exiting vehicles safely.7. Communication and Documentation
Maintain accurate records of care provided, including tasks completed, health observations, and incidents.Communicate effectively with family members, supervisors, and medical professionals regarding the individual’s care.8. Emergency Preparedness
Recognize and respond appropriately to emergencies, such as medical issues or accidents.Know and follow emergency protocols, including contacting supervisors or emergency services.9. Advocacy and Respect
Uphold the dignity, rights, and preferences of the person served.Advocate for the individual’s needs and preferences in their care plan.Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.10. Training and Development
