Job descriptionHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have sufficient oral and written communication skills to effectively perform duties. Ability to problem solve, general mechanical knowledge is necessary. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors. Must be dependable and flexible. SNHD Food Handlers card preferred. Upon hire; must obtain card within 60 days of employment. Attention to detail. Ability to multi-task. Ability to climb a ladder and other equipment safely. Forklift certification preferred. Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record a must. Ability to work independently and self-motivated. POSITION SUMMARY
The Packer is responsible for the timely preparation and assembly of a quality product and driving our refrigerated box truck to deliver to various local locations. As a driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods and packages. The ideal candidate should possess excellent driving skills, a commitment to safety, and a strong work ethic to meet delivery schedules and ensure customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following :
- Must operate refrigerated box truck to transport goods and packages between designated locations, ensuring adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Follow written and oral directions for product packaging.
- Assemble amenity and gift boxes and all its components in a timely, accurate fashion.
- Unload pre shipments from various vendors.
- Operate various equipment, including Form Fill Seal & Shrink Wrap.
- Prepare packages and products for delivery with shrink wrap and other necessary equipment.
- Assemble accessory items (bows, tags, labels, etc.) for the basket.
- Maintain proper rotation for dated and undated products.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the workspace at all times - clean and sanitize equipment, surfaces, machine parts daily.
- Drive forklift as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to design new products.
- Provide support to other department or team members as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
