Job Title : Corporate Counsel

Location : Denver, Co (Hybrid- 3 days / week in office)

Salary : $120,000- $150,000 + Bonus potential

About Company / Opportunity : We are a privately held real estate investment and property management company that needs a hybrid Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. If you have 3+ years of legal experience with real estate and property management, than this could be the perfect position for you!

As Corporate Counsel, you will :

  • Assist the General Counsel on legal matters related to the company's corporate and real estate transactions, including Mergers & Acquisitions.
  • Manage potential risks, liabilities, and financial exposures to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Oversee all litigation against the company and coordinate with external legal teams and insurance providers.
  • Supervise the handling and resolution of insurance claims, and manage investigations and assessments related to coverage.
  • Assist with tenant complaints and disputes and oversee the eviction process.
  • Negotiate, draft, revise and manage complex commercial agreements.
  • Manage budgetary responsibilities and contribute to strategic planning in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including responding to inquiries on various legal matters such as taxes, employment, contracts, insurance, risk management, licensing, organizational policies and corporate governance.

Must-Have Skills :

  • J.D. from an ABA accredited law school and license to practice law in Colorado
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate or real estate law
  • Strong understanding of real estate and financial transactions
  • Nice to Have Skills :

  • Experience with Affordable Housing, including fair housing laws and HUD regulations
