About the Role

We are seeking a Project Accountant to join the Finance & Accounting Department in our New York office. The Project Accountant is responsible for the project billing process for the firm, and is expected to proactively coordinate, communicate, and problem solve regarding all assigned projects.

Responsibilities :

  • Tracks project progress for milestones, hours and amounts and flags when those do not align with the projections; strives to provide valuable insight into project's financial performance.
  • Prepares and analyzes monthly project invoices, financial projections, job cost information and budgets.
  • Works closely with Project managers and Partners to alert them of any billing issues, project overruns, or delinquent accounts receivable.
  • Ensures balances are billed and collected in timely manner and assists with accounts receivable issues.
  • Prepares standard and custom reports as required to analyze assigned projects.

Qualifications :

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Excel, including use of sort features and creation of pivot tables
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Deltek Vision ERP strongly preferred

    • Estimated compensation range : $41.50 / hr- $46 / hr. (This is a non-exempt role, overtime eligible).
