Description : Duties :
- Create accurate and detailed plan sheets including but not limited to Title, Index, Typical Cross Sections, Maintenance of Traffic Details, Plan & Profiles, Details, and Cross-Section sheets
- Prepare various components of road construction plans via “mark-ups / redlines.”
- Prepare accurate quantities and calculations
- Prepare “display” materials for Public meetings
- Prepare initial Maintenance of Traffic layouts with oversight.
- Prepare pavement marking design with oversight.
- Assist in assembling various exhibits for Proposals and Engineer’s Reports
- Meet deadlines
- Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding clients and company practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements :
Experience : Entry level; Experience in Transportation Engineering preferred
Education : Associate degree in CAD or completion of a 2-year CAD program
Skills :
Proficient with a computer and AutoCAD 2004 or higherWorking knowledge of Civil 3D Design softwarePossess good communication skills.Able to interpret and complete “mark-ups / redlines” to Plan sheetsAble to work within a “team” conceptWorking knowledge of the Indiana Design Manual relative to CAD standardsWorking knowledge of the Indiana Design Manual relative to Plan sheet orderWorking knowledge in the use of the INDOT Standard DrawingsExpertise in geometry and trigonometryPhysical Requirements :
Able to work seated 9 or more hours per workdayAble to work 40 or more hours per work week as neededAble to work outdoors traversing uneven or difficult terrainOther Requirements :
