REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Nurse Duties and Responsibilities :

• Provide superior quality care using trained skilled within licensed scope of practice in accordance with facility policy.
• Monitor residents throughout the assigned shift to assure that prescribed treatment is properly administered as assigned to other RN's, LVN's, or delegated to nursing assistants. Record findings in the residents' chart via PointClickCare electronic patient care system.
• Receive verbal orders from attending / alternate physician and chart on the physician's order sheet and inform Supervisor of changes.
• Notify the resident's attending / alternate physician, supervisor, as well as the resident's legal guardian representative, if the resident has any Change in Condition, becomes critically ill, injured, etc.
• Administer medication
• Take TPRs, blood pressures, etc. and chart as required
• Lead assigned staff with hands-on approach to provide highest quality of care
