Position Summary
We are seeking a Process Engineer to monitor a mature manufacturing process. This position will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, repairing and improving process equipment. They will work closely with other engineering staff and the manufacturing team to enable smooth production and fulfillment.
Key Accountabilities
- Troubleshoot equipment, processes, and manufacturing systems
- Monitor and report on process outputs, successes and necessary improvements
- Work directly with operations to perform standard production, changeovers, and development.
- Work independently and collaboratively to document, propose, and improve potential process improvements to increase throughput, yield, utilization, and safety of existing processes.
- Work with quality and manufacturing to develop and maintain training documents and programs to effectively teach and train operators.
- Continuously learn and challenge oneself through literature, classes, and experimentation
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor’s degree in engineering; mechanical, chemical, materials science, etc. Other technical fields will be consideredWork Experience and Knowledge : 1-3 years of experience in engineering and manufacturing is recommended.Technology Skills : Excellent PC skills. Minitab, 3D Modeling - Solidworks, Strong ability to learn new programs and skillsCommunication Skills : Strong verbal, organizational and written communication skills. High degree of flexibility and ability to communicate with diverse groups including engineering, accounting, operations, and sales.
