Job Description

Develop and implement corporate strategies regarding regulatory compliance and permitting support to our U.S. exploration and production operations. This posting is a fulltime employee position and is based in Houston, Texas.

Functions as liaison between national and regional industry organizations, state and federal regulatory authorities and the company.

Monitors trends in proposed or pending regulatory changes within industry and assesses impact upon company operations.

Perform ‘at large’ special projects or data gathering per management instructions.

Prepares and manages regulatory analysts to assure regulatory support of operations and asset teams by :

  • Submitting timely regulatory reports and documents to remain compliant with periodic agency (state, federal and local) requirements.
  • Submitting necessary documentation to regulatory agencies allowing and permitting authorization to drill, rework, reactivate, deactivate, convert well design or to plug oil and gas wells
  • Provide support to asset development and operations teams by knowledge of specific regulatory area requirements or development limitations
  • Assist in preparing various metric reports for management use, as assigned
  • Participate in Regulatory and Asset development team efforts to accomplish annual goals.

Work Experience Requirements :

  • Minimum of 7 years of applicable regulatory or related experience in O&G production required.
  • Experience with state and federal compliance processes and requirements
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capability of communicating effectively to regulatory, management and others.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, being self-motivated with the ability to effectively handle multiple projects and switch priorities as needed
  • Comfortable working in multi-team environment
  • Proficient in use of MS Office suite, various state and federal regulatory websites, other industry databases, and record keeping systems.
  • Education Requirements : College degree in technical field is preferred.
