Our Forensic practice investigates problems in the built environment and provides evidence-based solutions founded on rigorous science and physics. We assist attorneys, property managers, building owners, contractors, manufacturers, and design professionals with a wide range of engineering and architectural issues.

The Role

We have an opportunity for a Designer Intern for our Forensics Practice. Designer Interns will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of staff architects and engineers to assist with a variety of tasks for active projects.

Responsibilities

  • On-site survey, investigation, and documentation of building conditions, including faade, roof, interiors, structural and other mechanical / fire protection systems.
  • Assist in preparing field notes.
  • Assist architectural or engineering team in preparing technical and investigative reports to support forensics findings and prepare materials related to presentations.
  • Review and research applicable building codes, ADA standards, and all other applicable industry standards, etc.
  • Assist the architectural team with the preparation of drawings and specifications, and construction administration services.

Requirements

  • Familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Suite programs.
  • Understanding of CAD programs (i.e. AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with Revit, Rhino, and / or Bluebeam is a plus.
