Position Summary
Under the general direction of the Director, HR Business Partner, the Human Resources Talent Specialist is responsible for delivering excellent service by effectively sourcing, selecting, and onboarding candidates for a wide range of requisitions within the organization. The HR Talent Specialist also trains and advises company leaders on the hiring process.
The HR Talent Specialist will be responsible for administrating a variety of HR duties, but will have primary specialty in talent acquisition and onboarding.
Specific Responsibilities
- Successfully administer and maintain all aspects of the recruiting process. This includes managing the authorization, posting, candidate selection process for assigned positions, managing the applicant tracking system, all external postings and all aspects of documentation related to recruitment and compliance. Ensure a great candidate experience and compliance with state and federal laws related to recruiting.
- Perform required pre-employment skills assessments and evaluations; assist with candidate selection, track and maintain results in the appropriate manner. Ensure others involved in the process are coached on how to interview and that the process is legally complaint. Once the candidate is selected, perform all administrative functions related to recruiting, such as offer letters, scheduling interviews and other correspondence. Complete all steps related to the new hire process. Including, but not limited to completing background checks, preparing and sending correspondence.
- Train and develop managers on the recruiting process, including but not limited to, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion best practices, job description edits, structured interviewing techniques, and selection / assessment. Serves as a subject matter expert in talent management, training and guiding other HR members as needed.
- Personally ensure successful onboarding of all new hires. This will include providing training on HR related systems, determining the source for all other required training and following up on a set schedule to make sure the system is complete. Use the onboarding process to begin integrating employees into the Company.
- Work with key stakeholders on onboarding process improvement to deliver world-class onboarding experience to new employees.
- Manage Learning Management System Onboarding Process, including workflows, training materials, and eLearning platform.
- Lead efforts in the Company’s internship programs. Develop Job Descriptions, Interview processes, and manage stakeholder’s responsibilities for internship programs. Responsible for two or more internship programs per year.
- Assist in analyze training needs to design employee development programs. Creates training content and delivers training session on a variety of topics including succession planning, leadership and performance management skills.
- Develop and maintain an HR analytics to track progress of talent management statistics.
- Regularly create or coordinate Human Resources communications for Company newsletters and initiatives. Regularly assist with the update of related sections of the HR portal, including the current announcements and policy links.
- Handle and maintain confidential files and documents. Distribute and disseminate confidential documents to the appropriate people and systems as needed. Maintain certain digital documents and files as required.
- Maintain electronic record keeping of recruiting and compensation approvals under company’s Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) controls.
- May assist in HR Generalist activities, such as administrating benefits, rewards, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices as required or assigned
- Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required. Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred.
At least one year of experience in a related position.
Knowledge of Human Resource laws, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
High proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems and Learning Management Systems required.
