Overview : Position Summary :

The Senior / Staff Accountant is responsible for reconciling and providing analytics on bonus-related activity for all brands and subsidiaries within the organization and posting bonus-related transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Maintain the bonus database, including processing payroll requests for weekly payouts, booking bonus accruals, and ensuring all bonuses meet defined criteria.
Work closely with the Payroll department to ensure approved bonuses are processed and any bonus variances are identified and resolved.
Reconcile assigned bonus-related balance sheet accounts to multiple external systems and data sources, researching variances as needed.
Field various ad-hoc requests for data and reporting
Provide support to the Directors and brand accountants by researching and explaining unexpected variances and fluctuations in bonus-related accounts.
Identify automation opportunities and lead process improvement initiatives.
Assist with external audits.
Cross-train and provide back up for Payroll Analyst.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :
Education and Experience
1. Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
2. 1-3 years of relevant experience required with at least 1 year in payroll accounting preferred
