POSITION SUMMARY :

The Application Business Owner is responsible for the configuration, implementation, support, and training of personnel on use of clinical operations technology and workflows within CIBMTR CRO Services. Clinical operations technologies include clinical trial management systems (CTMS) and electronic trial master file (eTMF) systems. This role will also be responsible for implementing cross-functional workflows that optimize efficient use of clinical operations and clinical data management technologies. This position can be remote (US) or hybrid. LI-Remote LI-Hybrid

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

  • Configures, maintains, assists with upgrades, and provides end-user support for the clinical operations applications.
  • Manages user provisioning for assigned systems.
  • Develops and maintains a mastery of assigned software in order to help create high-quality workflows and / or configurations that promote optimal product efficiencies for end users.
  • Participates in the exploration, analysis, and selection of clinical operations and data management systems.
  • Manages small to medium projects by developing project plans and monitoring performance.
  • Understands the applicable clinical operations work environments, processes, and related needs in order to successfully integrate solutions into user workflows.
  • Participates in successful implementations and upgrades of the applications by conducting system configuration, acceptance testing, and follow-up support and training, as needed.
  • Implements, configures, tests, and administers system applications under minimal supervision.
  • Participates in change management activities, as required by organizational standard operating procedures (, SDLC)
  • Provides continuous system consulting, and end-user support as it relates to assigned clinical technology applications.
  • Interfaces with software vendors regarding ticketed issues
  • Observes, learns, and understands user workflows, processes, and any applicable inefficiencies.
  • Identifies and recommends business process improvements to make end users more efficient.
  • Makes recommendations regarding the improvement of overall department efficiency through training and education and facilitate training to key users for assigned applications.
  • Collaborates on the development of documentation and training materials required for implementation as well as end-user support and training.
  • Liaises with organizational learning and development to develop and facilitate best practices for training.
  • Assists the department leadership in building support for new applications and technical capabilities that address gaps in business processes.
  • Continuously develops skills in applicable clinical technology and applications.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Knowledge of :

  • Thorough understanding of ICH GCP guidelines and FDA regulations.
  • Knowledge of the clinical study development and execution pathway.
  • Clinical operations and efficiencies.
  • Clinical operations systems (CTMS and eTMF)
  • Electronic data capture (EDC) systems (, Medidata Rave, Veeva CDMS)
  • Ability to :

  • Communicate clearly and effectively to staff through oral and written formats.
  • Manage multiple deadlines and priorities while ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a remote environment.
  • Must exemplify our Be The Match Standards.
  • Education and / or Experience :

    DEGREE & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in scientific or health related field. However, upon evaluation, equivalent related experience and / or education may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Minimum years of clinical trials experience in the clinical / biotechnology field.
  • SKILLS

  • Proven IT proficiency and skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Proficient in problem solving, time management, and organization.
  • Effective verbal and writing skills; English and local language, if relevant.
  • This position requires the ability to perform varied tasks, to maintain an appropriate work pace, to exercise logic and reasoning, and to comprehend and follow instructions.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)

  • ACRP or SOCRA certification
