Job Title : Chemist

Job Description : Element Staffing is recruiting for a  QA / QC Chemist  for a specialty chemical plant in SW Houston. The primary responsibility of the QA / QC Chemist is to test hazardous and non-hazardous raw materials and to perform analysis on all final products manufactured. The Chemist will also participate in intermediate to complex level projects. Candidates with strong analytical skills are preferred.

Duties / Responsibilities / Qualifications :

• Utilize a variety of analytical methods to test dry and liquid chemical raw materials and blends.
• Handle hazardous and non-hazardous chemical raw materials for agriculture products, industrial cleaners, and oilfield related chemical products.
• Calibration, operation, chemical analysis and troubleshooting of instrumentation including, but not limited to : Autotitration, HPLC, IC, LC, Potentiometric Titration, pH, Density (Specific Gravity), Viscosity, Surface tension, Interfacial Tension, GC, ICP.
• Autotitrator experience is a huge plus.
• Enter data analysis into ERP system for Certificate of Analysis generation.
• Participate in Lab Organization, Safety and Hygiene.
• Contribute to MSDS comprehension, general laboratory, and analytical chemistry aptitude.
• Be able to interpret and adhere to project and process guidelines.
• Follow Chemical HSE protocols.
• NPR project assessment, SOP generation & modification, and methods development
• This role will be also responsible for following and maintaining all laboratory protocol and duties, samples management and data entry.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested by supervisor or Management.
• Comprehensive level of understanding on analytical chemistry, chemical analysis, or physical

analysis of raw materials for industrial use.
