Loan Processor, Kenton OR Upper Sandusky, OH

Assist all offices by performing essential duties in the lending area in support of loan origination, servicing, and reporting. Provide loan processing services and administrative support to lending teams across the Association. Provide prompt and courteous customer service to internal and external customers. Perform various other functions relating to the daily operations in all offices.

What You'll Do :

1. Credit delivery input and processing including, but not limited to, working with lending managers, account officers and loan specialists to ensure proper completion of loan documents, timely and accurate data entry, AgScore processing, CBI report processing, IRD preparation and review, all loan document preparation and printing for loan closings, decision input information, preparation for posting loans to the loan accounting system and all other loan origination support related activities to ensure proper credit and operations processing.

2. Ensure the accurate, timely and proper preparation, filing and certification of all required loan legal documents, including but not limited to notes, mortgages, and mortgage modifications to ensure the Association's ability to collect each loan. Also maintains the mortgage-tracking log.

3. Assist all lending offices by working from a queue to complete loan processing tasks in a timely and orderly manner, using independent judgment to prioritize the preparation of loan documents.

4. Prepare, perform and / or file all collateral related processes and documents to perfect the Association's collateral and / or lien position for each loan.

5. Ensure the accurate, timely and proper completions of all required compliance forms and documents.

6. Prepare, confirm, and send wire requests related to the closing and funding of loans.

7. Prepare, process, and / or perform pre-closing credit and operations forms, checklists, documents and processes.

8. Work with the lending managers, loan specialists and account officers to ensure proper loan approvals, proper loan pricing and all loans servicing requirements are met.

9. Efficiently handles the position responsibilities to enhance the financial performance of the lending teams and the Association.

What You'll Need :

  • Two-year degree in Business or Ag Business OR high school graduate with three years of legal and / or credit related work experience.
  • Experience with legal documents and loan processing.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with a diverse group of people with a minimum of direction
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Use of discretionary judgment in making decisions and problem solving
  • Working knowledge of general business machines, i.e. PC, Calculator, copier, etc.
  • Working experience with Microsoft Office products.
  • Knowledge in the area of agriculture is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formats to recognize and correct correspondence and reports.
  • The ability to travel to lending offices, AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, and other locations for training. Some overnight travel is expected.
