LEAD WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES :
- Pick, check and load accurately orders that are destined for our regional warehouses where they are then delivered to our customers
- Utilize RF scanners for proper picking processes, understanding and managing a Warehouse Management System (WMS), understand and manage various reports that will ensure orders are processed on time
- Proficient computer skills (e.g., Email, Microsoft office, Warehouse Management System, Employee Management System)
- Create accurate BOL’s for each outbound truck
- Examine workplace conditions daily to ensure they conform to applicable OSHA standards and Grimco’s Warehouse Safety Checklist
- Maintain equipment, trucks, and warehouse (e.g., cleaning / sweeping warehouse, maintenance, special projects)
- Oversee safety standards
- Create processes and instill an efficient workflow for the Daily Distribution department to be able to process all orders that are scheduled to go out each day
- Elevate the performance of the team with ongoing training and idea sharing to create a nurtured and successful Daily Distribution department.
- Work closely with Distribution Hub Manager on branch goals
- Motivate by example - partner with warehouse employees to perform daily activities, and continuously improve performance. Teamwork is key!
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
5+ years of warehouse experiencePrevious experience leading small teamKnowledge of WMS, printing ticket orders, MS Office Suite, email, internet navigation.Ability to compete and pass a criminal background screening.PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Requires the ability to lift, push, pull and carry tools and warehouse materials weighing 70+ pounds on a frequent basis.Requires prolonged standing or walking, frequent bending, stooping, and reaching daily.Requires the ability to climb ladders to pick or put away products.Requires a full range of physical motion to operate manual and electrically powered tools and machines (i.e., forklift).BENEFITS :
