A busy hospital is seeking an anesthesiologist for locum tenens coverage.

A facility is seeking a full-time, cardiac-capable anesthesiologist for Monday through Friday coverage, including call responsibilities. The call structure involves a CRNA covering late cases until 9 PM, after which the on-call physician takes over. The physician will also handle beeper call once all cases are complete. Call is not in-house but includes both beeper and call-back, with a 20-30% likelihood of call-back after the shift, sometimes resulting in late evenings. CRNAs do not take call, and their shifts have scheduling restrictions related to call coverage. The annual OB volume averages 400 deliveries. The facility uses Cerner for EMR, and shifts run from 7 AM to 5 PM or 7 AM to 3 PM, with an expectation to stay until cases are complete. Cases begin at 7 AM, and locum providers are expected to arrive by 6 : 30 AM.
