The Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota (AERC) was established over 30 years ago by a group of veterinarians who wanted to provide their clients with quality veterinary care during non-business hours. Are you the Veterinary Technician - Triage we're looking for?
To succeed in this role as a Veterinary Technician at Animal Emergency & Referral Center of Minnesota, you'll need a unique set of skills and abilities. First and foremost, you should have a solid understanding of normal vital ranges for both dogs and cats. This knowledge will help you accurately assess the health status of our patients. Working well under pressure is also essential, as our clinic environment can be fast-paced and unpredictable. Your ability to remain calm and composed in urgent situations will contribute to the overall success of our team.
Effective communication is key in this role, both with our clients and fellow team members. You should have the ability to convey information professionally and efficiently, ensuring clear understanding for everyone involved. Comfort with utilizing electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic treatment sheets is crucial. Being tech-savvy and able to quickly and accurately document patient information will support our commitment to providing the highest level of care. A solid understanding of basic medical procedures, treatments, and medications is required.
This will enable you to assist our veterinarians in providing the necessary care for our patients. Previous experience in client education (particularly medical-related) is necessary. Your ability to educate and inform our clients about their pet's condition and treatment will empower them to provide the best care at home.
