Job Description The Unit Clerk creates a safe environment for patients, saves lives when necessary, provides hope, empowers patients, and teaches new tools for coping to patients. The Unit Clerk provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Primary responsibilities include administrative and clerical duties on nursing units. Experience : One-year experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred. Knowledge : Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training preferred.
