Job description

SPECIALTY : PSYCHIATRY - ADULT INPATIENT

LOCATION : KANSAS (1 hour south of Kansas City)

JOB TYPE : LOCUMS

JOB NUMBER : 48021

DESCRIPTION :

  • FT Inpatient 40 hrs per week (M-F, 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM), NO Telehealth
  • Start Date : ASAP - Ongoing. Rare call : 1-2 times per month.
  • Admit and treat court-committed and forensic patients.
  • Document patient progress and treatment plans per accrediting standards. Court testimonies are needed sometimes.
  • Assess medical and psychiatric changes, including lab results.
  • Review and update medication and treatment orders regularly.
  • Complete discharge summaries promptly.
  • Participate in morning meetings and treatment team discussions.

REQUIRED :

  • KS license, active and unrestricted
  • At least 1 yr post residency experience.
  • CPR / BLS from the American Heart Association
  • Completion of a 2-day CPI course.
  • Successful completion of a urine drug screen and background check.
  • Credentialing requires three supervising direct reference responses.
