COTA- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

COTA Duties Include :

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services / interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referral to Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Implements and modifies the patient’s occupational therapy plan of treatment with OTR supervision
• Monitors patient responses to treatments and modifies it during treatment sessions as necessary.
• Observe residents and write progress reports.
• The Occupational Therapy Assistant will be responsible for documenting patient treatments, changes in condition and other pertinent information as required.

COTA requirements include :
