Our client
an international consumer products company, seeks a Credit Analyst on a temp-to-hire basis . This person will be responsible for reviewing and updating new and existing customer credit files, requiring analytical, quantitative and technical skills. Major roles include :
- Release orders based on credit availability
- Analyze financial statements in conjunction with credit risk analysis
- Determine overall credit worthiness
- Implement credit-related policies as appropriate
Credit Analyst Responsibilities
Handle portfolio of assigned accountsGather and analyze credit and / or other data to determine impact on business operations, as appropriateMake recommendations for credit limits based on availability of credit insurance, payment history, trade references, third party sources, and other credit tools, as applicableEvaluate and implement internal and external credit scoring models using both traditional and other predictive technologiesParticipate in and contribute to projects to develop recommendations for credit policy, credit / data support systems and provide revenue, cost, delinquency, and loss forecastsInterface with customers and other departments to develop strategies to prevent problems and develop solutions to correct existing problemsCollections Responsibilities
Handle weekly collections emails to accounts (based on aging report)Regularly reviews the status of past-due accounts and makes a decision on collection efforts in order to minimize riskGenerates various receivable reports utilizing variants and databases which identify high exposure and or problem accountsQualifications
Must have basic knowledge and understanding of financial statementsStrong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication skillsIntermediate with Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables)Hours : 9 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm
