Sales Engineer - Power Systems
Newington, CT
Pay : Base Salary up to $100,000 / year (dependent on relevant experience)

Key qualifications :
5+ years of previous direct business to business sales experience required , preferably in an industrial-type marketExperience working in a power-related field (generators) is preferred (will consider experience or an equivalent related education-experience combination)Must have industrial / construction industry experience working with general contractors, electrical contractors, or mechanical contractorsPC Proficient (including high proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office and other software)Proficiency with CRM systems to track all sales contacts, meetings, opportunities, proposals, and ordersExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalClean & valid driver's license required (this is an outside sales position)Responsibilities
Successfully sell H.O. Penn Power Systems (EPG) products and services.
Produce targeted sales volume and gross profitDirectly sell to end users and contractorsInfluence end users, consultants, and architects to specify / apply the use of H.O. Penn Power Systems Products, related equipment & servicesProvide reports on sales activity and coverageEngage in promotional and marketing efforts that result in growth for H.O. Penn Power Systems and related equipment and services.
Seek new applications for existing productsSeek new products for existing and new marketsDevelop and employ market information related to new and existing customersSeek and coordinate customer opportunities for all H.O. Penn products and services (Parts, Service, New and Used Equipment)Coordinate between customers associated with H.O. Penn support departments and Power Systems Management to ensure successful installations.
Submit project worksheets and all required paperwork completely and in a timely fashionAssist Credit Dept. with collecting all past-due invoices and follow-up on collection of funds retained until successful project completionCoordinate with project manager to ensure timely and satisfactory response to customers' inquiriesFollow Caterpillar's procedures to obtain product pricing, Special Rating requests, and technical informationMaintain ongoing communication throughout the entire project with the Project Management teamQualifications
