Job description

Position Information Position Title Community Data Manager FLSA Classification NE Reports to Project Data Manager Salary Range G1 Weeks Per Year 52 Work Week 40 hours (minimum) Position Summary Coordinates, designs and manages databases needed to support data collection, analysis, and research for the Center for Social Research [YC1] . Collaborates with the principal investigator(s), research and evaluation analyst(s), project data manager(s), and data coordinator(s) for selected research projects to ensure accurate data is managed appropriately.

This position is 100% grant-funded contingent upon annual renewal of external funding. The position will end on or before December 2026.

This role supports the North Hartford Ascend Pipeline (Ascend) : a place-based, cross-sector initiative that integrates schools and community and social services and supports to help children and families reach their full potential. In addition to the core responsibilities outlined in the job description, this position will :

1) Support a coordinated pipeline of services

2) Support a parent-, family-, and community-driven agenda

3) Embrace targeted universalism to achieve equity

4) Strengthen families’ protective factors

5) Support early identification, referral, and linkage to community and social services and supports

6) Support data collection and analysis to monitor implementation and impact of Ascend

Ascend is funded by a five-year grant from the U.S. Department of Education Promise Neighborhoods program and sponsored by Connecticut Children’s.

YC1] I would rather avoid mentioning specific funder / project because the position, like most of our position, will be supported by multiple funding streams. Hiring Range Starting hourly rate is $20.00 per hour to $25.00 per hour depending upon experience Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities

  • Manages, creates, and designs databases for assigned projects, and develops protocols for maintaining data entry standards to ensure accuracy and integrity of the database.
  • Manages and oversees documentation of daily activities for select research projects including, but not limited to, assessments, interviews, surveys, fieldwork, and program meetings.
  • Ensures data is collected, input, and maintained by the researcher at appropriate intervals as outlined in research design project plan.
  • Communicates progress and status of project activities, on an as needed basis, for research and program staff. Prepares monthly reports on project activities for submission to the principal investigator.
  • Conducts interviews, surveys, and other field observations with program participants as supervised by principal investigator(s), as necessary and appropriate.
  • Establishes, cultivates, and maintains effective working relationships with program staff and other constituencies who have a vested interest in the research of the Center for Social Research.
  • Represents the Center for Social Research both internally and externally by attending meetings and travelling to program sites to review status of research projects as necessary and appropriate.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
