Role Purpose :
The AWS Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the security of cloud infrastructure and services within the AWS environment. This role involves implementing security measures, conducting assessments, and collaborating with various teams to maintain a secure cloud ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities :
- Security Implementation : Design and implement security protocols and controls for AWS environments, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
- Vulnerability Management : Mitigate the risks identified by the vulnerability scanning tool for the cloud infrastructure.
- Monitoring and Incident Response : Monitor AWS environments for security breaches and respond to incidents, including investigation, containment, and remediation.
- Compliance and Governance : Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS.
- Collaboration : Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security best practices into the cloud development lifecycle.
- Technical Skills :
Proficiency in AWS security services and tools, such as AWS IAM, AWS KMS, AWS WAF, and AWS Shield.
