About Lindner Partnership Development

The mission of the Lindner College of Business (LCB) is to empower business problem-solvers to tackle the world’s toughest challenges. The college has an established national reputation for excellence in several academic areas across its undergraduate, graduate, and online programs. The college enrolls approximately 4,000 undergraduates, 900 master’s students, and 45 doctoral students.

This position falls under the Lindner College of Business, Office of Partnership Development. This office is responsible for all external relations activities, playing a role in Co-op / hiring, Centers and Institutes, Lindner Professional Programs (executive education), and more. This position will primarily be responsible for supporting Lindner Professional Programs but will regularly interface with team members responsible for employer relations in other areas.

Job Overview

The primary objective of this position is to enable, administer, and support a broad range of high-quality, value-added professional programming and executive education experiences for industry partners. This role was created to support a significant demand for Lindner’s non-degree programs. These non-degree programs are typically in the form of custom programs or open enrollment programs. Custom programs entail employer-paid, cohort-based programs that are bespoke to the employer’s needs Open enrollment programs are open to the public, whereby individuals register for pre-set courses. These programs cover a wide variety of content, including leadership development (e.g., leadership, teaming, critical thinking, etc.) and business skills (e.g., analytics, sales, program management, etc.).

This position will have the option of a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office / 2 days work from home) for those with a residence within OH / IN / KY following 90 days of training. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.

Essential Functions

  • Create an annual outreach plan, including key performance indicators and metrics, to meet institutional goals around partnership outreach, engagement, and retention.
  • Collaborate with leadership to forecast program needs, develop and implement action plans, and report progress to key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership performance, tracking key metrics and outcomes to assess effectiveness and identify areas of improvement.
  • Create workflows, processes, and reporting through CRM software to maximize efficiency and ensure an exceptional level of service is being provided to industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices in partnership development including outreach, customer relationship management, follow-up and closing, and other effective relationship maintenance / development strategies.
  • Lead, manage, and train the partnership development team responsible  for the execution of measurable targets and deliverables.
  • Oversee data collection, reporting, and coordination around industry engagement.
  • Collaborate with Director of Partnership Development develop and update strategic  plan and operations plan.
  • Assist with the negotiation, design, and development of revenue-generating, non-credit reskilling and upskilling experiences for industry partners, including workshops and programmatic learning and development.
  • Implement revenue-generating, non-credit reskilling and upskilling experiences for industry partners within areas of expertise.
  • Provide direct and / or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring / firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree

Nine (9) years of relevant work experience and / or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement

Required Experience

Five (5) years of experience in sales and / or business development
