Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Service Technician to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards.

Our ideal candidate is a problem solver with a positive attitude who has an understanding of auto mechanics and an unwavering commitment to providing high-quality service.

We offer a fantastic work environment with a brand new, air conditioned service facility and state of the art equipment.

We are currently offering a $5000 sign on bonus, paid quarterly through the first year of employment (contingent on the technician maintaining completion of all online training and meeting performance standards).

We also offer a technician performance bonus based on efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic Testing : Use manufacturer specific tools and equipment to diagnose vehicle accurately.

Interpret diagnostic results to identify issues and make repairs.

  • Maintenance Services : Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and scheduled servicing to manufacturer specifications.
  • Repair Work : Execute complex repair jobs, including but not limited to engine rebuilds, transmission repairs, brake systems, steering mechanisms, and electronic systems.
  • Customer Service : Communicate effectively with Advisors to explain vehicle problems, potential solutions, and the work performed.
  • Offer recommendations for maintaining vehicle performance and longevity.

  • Quality Assurance : Ensure all repair and maintenance work meets company standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Test drive vehicles post-repair to verify success of maintenance or repair work.

  • Continuous Learning : Stay up to date with all online courses with Hyundai and Genesis.
  • Attend Classes as needed off site.

    Skills and Qualifications

  • Education : High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred.

  • Experience : Proven experience as an Automotive Technician. Familiarity with all types of cars and sport utility vehicles.
  • Technical Skills : Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of automotive technology and electrical systems.

  • Problem-Solving : Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work on complex issues with minimal supervision.

  • Communication : Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical customers.
  • Teamwork : Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility : Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
