About the Opportunity

A privately owned heavy capital equipment dealer with territories across the East Coast seeks a Chief Financial Officer to fully manage its financial strategy, operations, and growth initiatives.

With a new flagship location in VA and continued expansion planned through 2025 and beyond, this plays a critical role in shaping the financial future of a growing, asset-heavy business. The successful candidate will play a key role in :

  • Leading financial operations, forecasting, and strategic planning
  • Driving profitability, efficiency, and financial controls across multiple locations
  • Supporting growth and expansion initiatives in collaboration with executive leadership
  • Ensuring operational and commercial alignment with long-term business objectives

Role Responsibilities

As Chief Financial Officer, you will :

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, reporting, and risk management
  • Take full P&L responsibility, ensuring financial performance aligns with business objectives
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive scalability and operational efficiency
  • Partner with leadership to support expansion efforts and new business opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry best practices

    To succeed in this role, you will need :

  • Experience as a CFO / FD or a senior financial leader ready to step up
  • A strong background in heavy equipment, parts, or related industries
  • A proven track record in high-growth, multi-location environments
  • The ability to navigate complex financial structures in an asset-heavy business
  • A strategic, hands-on approach to financial leadership and business growth
