Private practice OB-GYN in Richardson, TX seeking Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to assess, diagnose and treat the health care needs of women from menarche through menopause, including pregnancy. Provide preventive care such as well-woman exams, breast cancer screenings, Pap tests. Contraceptive care, including IUD insertion / removal, Nexplanon insertion / removal and prescribing of oral contraceptives.

Non-routine gynecological care including endometrial biopsy and other diagnostic testing. Obstetrical care including pregnancy office visits and ordering of routine testing.

BioTe experience a plus.

Responsibilities :

• Provide Women’s Health care services to patients of all ages, including physical examinations, diagnosing and treating common illnesses and prescribing medications
• Perform patient assessments, including taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients and other healthcare professionals
• Manage acute and chronic conditions, including monitoring patients' progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary
• Provide education and counseling to patients on preventive care, healthy lifestyle choices, and managing chronic conditions
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care
• Utilize electronic health record systems to document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records

Experience :

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant in Women’s Health

Proficiency in medication administration, including prescribing medications and monitoring their effectiveness

Strong patient assessment skills, including the ability to identify signs and symptoms of various medical conditions

Knowledge of utilization management principles to optimize healthcare resources and ensure appropriate care for patients

Strong understanding of human physiology and its application to clinical practice

Proficient in aseptic technique to prevent infection transmission during procedures
