Summary :

Seeking a highly skilled mixed-methods UX researcher with over 4 years of experience in the hardware industry. Adept at conducting research with hardware prototypes, solving complex technical challenges, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders. Brings expertise in designing and executing end-to-end interviews, usability, and experimental research with hardware prototypes.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to identify, define, and deliver impactful products.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive research roadmaps independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead diverse research studies across all phases of the product development cycle.
  • Contribute to product strategy, execution, and go-to-market planning.
  • Manage research vendors to enhance the capabilities and output of the research team.

Skills :

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently.
  • Experience leveraging data and quantitative insights to define and support research hypotheses.
  • Expertise in storytelling to engage diverse audiences and gain traction for ideas.
  • Solid decision-making skills to balance competing demands in dynamic environments.
  • Strong mentoring abilities to provide guidance and constructive performance feedback.
  • Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in a human behavior-related field such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies, computer science, or economics.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and conducting comprehensive research studies, including interviews, usability testing, and experimental research with hardware prototypes.
  • Location : Seattle, WA (Onsite, Hybrid)

    Role type : Contract 8 Month Position

    Expected hours : 40 per week
