Job description

The Regional Manager - Stock Food is responsible for initiating and developing strategies in identified markets toward long term relationships with strategic targets. The Regional Manager - Stock Food is accountable to achieve annual sales goals and managing assigned core accounts; while identifying, developing and selling new customer opportunities to increase sales and profitability.

Essential Accountabilities

New business development

  • Identify and close business with new customer opportunities.
  • Establish key relationships with decision makers / influencers.
  • Communicate customer and market needs to research and development and new product development teams.
  • Identify competitive response scenarios and strategy.
  • Support marketing plans and tradeshows.
  • Recommend new products or technologies to target markets.
  • Assist with project management activities through new product development process.

Grow / maintain customers

  • Conduct needs analysis with customers and develop proposals.
  • Account development.
  • Develop and maintain account records, account plans, territory status reports and customer information.
  • Maintain and build key relationships with decision makers / influencers.
  • Develop forecasts and goals.
  • Manage and develop broker network.
  • Deliver Sales Growth

  • Deliver annual sales targets.
  • Assist in developing pricing strategies.
  • Support execution of price increases.
  • Understand and sell value based pricing.
  • Gather competitive information

  • Identify technology trends and maintain industry technology knowledge in the areas of materials, design, tool lead times, sustainability trends and process technologies.
  • Develop and maintain market knowledge and remain current on trends.
  • All other duties as assigned by Manager.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years sales experience in a manufacturing setting, thermoforming preferred.
  • Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of thermoforming, injection molding or other plastic forming processes.
  • Ability to lead, train and develop broker sales teams with a value-based selling platform.
  • Familiarity with consumer / retail products, packaging and distribution.
  • Organization and time management.
  • Relationship building and maintaining.
  • Detail orientation.
  • Understanding of business and financial information.
  • Computer and software skills :
  • Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Customer Relationship Management software (salesforce.com)
  • Oracle (preferred)
  • Presentation development and delivery.
