Job description

Title : Compensation Manager

Location : Virginia Beach, VA

Schedule : Fully In-Office

Salary : $90,000 - $100,000

Bonus : 10%

Relocation : Relocation assistance is available for this role

What You’ll Be Doing :

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate competitive compensation strategies, policies, and programs.
  • Conduct regular market analyses and benchmarking to ensure pay practices remain competitive and equitable.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership to design salary structures, incentive programs, and other compensation initiatives.
  • Oversee job evaluations, salary surveys, and internal pay assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • Partner with HR and hiring managers to establish appropriate compensation for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Provide guidance and education to managers and employees on compensation policies and practices.
  • Analyze compensation data and trends to provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Support annual compensation planning processes, including merit increases, bonuses, and equity adjustments.
  • Prepare detailed compensation reports and metrics to support decision-making.

What We’re Looking For :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • 4-7 years of progressive experience in compensation management or analysis.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of compensation regulations, including FLSA and pay equity laws.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
