The Art & Design department seeks part time day, evening, and weekend instructors in Interior Design. Instructors are needed for courses including Introduction to Interior Design, Drafting and Sketching for Interior Design, Historic Interiors, Textiles for Interior Design, Rendering and Presentation Techniques for Interior Design, Materials and Resources for Interior Design, Residential and Commercial Design, Business Practices for Interior Design and Portfolio and Marketing.
Level 1 - $1,050 per credit hour.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design; or Bachelor’s degree in related field with 18 credits in Interior Design; or Bachelor’s degree in Art with qualifying equivalency / portfolio and successful experience in the interior design industry
- Three (3) years’ experience in commercial, residential or kitchen and bath design.
- Two years of teaching experience, preferably at a college level
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft applications knowledge
- Experience using classroom technology and learning management systems preferred
- Current membership with ASID, IIDA, NKBA and / or IDEC preferred
- NICIDQ and LEED, NCIDQ, CKBD, LEED, and WELL Building certification preferred.
