Job description

Six-Month Recruiter Contract : Approximately March 31st - September 26th - Work Type : The selected candidate must reside in California. The position is 100% remote with the option to work in our Fresno, office as needed. - Salary Offered : $80,000 to $90,000 annually, based on experience. - Typical Schedule : Monday through Friday, from 8 : 30AM to 5 : 30PM PST, with flexibility as needed. - Occasional Travel : 10% regional travel for career fairs, onsite WinnCompanies hiring events, and industry networking.WinnCompanies is seeking a high-volume Talent Acquisition Specialist to recruit for the western part of the United States. You will collaborate on a daily basis with our Talent Acquisition Operations department, Human Resource Business Partners, regional executive leadership, and local site hiring managers to source, screen, assess, and hire top talent for our Residential and Military Housing clients while offering high-level candidate experience and customer service.

What You'll Do

  • Provide full-cycle recruiting support to your assigned region for a wide variety of multi-family affordable housing communities to hire onsite staff, such as maintenance technicians and supervisors, property managers, and leasing professionals.
  • Provide full-cycle recruiting support to hire maintenance / facilities and property management staff for our military housing installation sites in Hawaii, Alaska, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado.
  • Develop and manage local partnerships with trade / vocational schools, college / universities, and workforce development programs to create talent pipelines.
  • Manage job postings and announcements, applicant correspondence, employee resumes, employment application forms, scheduling interviews, etc.
  • Build and maintain candidate pipelines through passive sourcing on Indeed, Linkedin, Phenom (CRM), Lever (ATS), social media, attending local recruiting / networking events, generating candidate referrals, etc.
  • Meet hiring targets created by TA leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Follow standard WinnCompanies hiring and onboarding policy and procedures.
  • Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers in a professional, service-oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving.

What You'll Need To Be Successful

  • Strong active and passive candidate sourcing skills through Lever, Phenom, Indeed, and LinkedIn.
  • High level of discretion and interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential personnel matters and documentation.
  • Strong organizational, record-keeping, and follow-up skills.
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting hiring updates to key stakeholders on a weekly / biweekly basis (virtually).
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees (both management and staff alike), vendors, clients, and others.
  • What You'll Bring To Us

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of full cycle recruiting experience specializing in high-volume industries (specifically : skilled trades, facilities / maintenance, hotel / hospitality, property management, and / or staffing agency experience).
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of ATS experience.
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of passive recruiting efforts, using CRMs and external resources.
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Practical experience using advanced sourcing techniques.
  • Solid understanding of federal and state employment law and principles.
  • Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree and / or Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or another related field.
  • Knowledge of general human resources concepts and policies.
  • Phenom CRM experience for passive sourcing of candidates.
  • Lever ATS experience.
