Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Care for and maintain horses, ensuring they are healthy, well-fed, and properly saddled for trail rides.
- Lead guests on trail rides, providing a memorable, safe, and enjoyable experience while sharing your knowledge of the ranch and local terrain.
- Provide instruction to guests on riding techniques, ensuring they are comfortable and confident during their ride.
- Perform general ranch chores such as feeding horses, mucking out stalls, and maintaining tack.
- Assist with the transportation of supplies to multiple ranch venues and operate ranch vehicles or Rangers when needed.
- Work as part of a team to ensure a smooth operation of the ranch's activities and ensure guests receive high-quality service.
- Follow all safety protocols and demonstrate horse safety measures at all times, both on the ground and while riding.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of ranch areas, tack rooms, and horse facilities.
- Be flexible and willing to take direction from senior staff to ensure the success of ranch operations.
What You'll Bring
A valid driver's license and ability to operate ranch vehicles or Rangers safely.Previous experience in the Western riding discipline.In-depth knowledge of Western tack, horse safety measures, and all aspects of riding and horse care.A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to work hard.Ability to give clear and effective instruction to guests of all skill levels.A strong understanding of horse care, including feeding, grooming, and maintenance of tack and equipment.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing tasks.A short video showcasing your riding abilities (required for candidates).Other Information
