Job description

Job Overview : A well-established law firm in Chicago is seeking an experienced Real Estate Associate Attorney to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in real estate closing transactions and possess strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. This full-time position offers a hybrid work schedule with opportunities for growth, both in responsibility and salary. The firm specializes primarily in real estate transactions and offers a supportive environment with the potential for revenue-sharing opportunities for candidates with an existing book of business.Location : Chicago, ILDuties : Review purchase and sale contracts for real estate transactionsMaintain and organize client filesDraft attorney modification letters and legal correspondenceCommunicate with all parties involved in transactions, including real estate agents, lenders, and clientsCalendar contract dates and contingencies; draft extension requests when necessaryPrepare closing checklists outlining critical dates and responsibilitiesCoordinate closings with all involved parties : buyer, seller, title insurance company, opposing counsel, and lenderPrepare closing documents and ensure accuracyObtain and prepare corporate documents, including authorization from relevant parties to purchase / sellGather closing figures from the bank and handle prorations for taxes, utilities, and rentRequirements : 3-5 years of experience as a real estate attorney or paralegal specializing in real estate closing transactionsMust be licensed in Illinois and in good standing with the ARDCAbility to work both independently and collaboratively with clients and colleaguesStrong attention to detail and excellent organizational skillsAbility to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectivelyGood judgment and ability to exercise discretion and confidentialityStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsComfortable in public settings, with the ability to speak on behalf of the firmAbility to work under pressure and manage competing prioritiesEducation : Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolDoctorate in Law (Preferred)Skills : Strong organizational and time-management skillsExcellent attention to detail and judgmentEffective communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to handle high-pressure situations and multiple deadlinesAnalytical and problem-solving skillsBenefits : Health insurancePaid time off (PTO)Opportunities for career growth and salary increasesLucrative revenue sharing for candidates with a book of businessCompany Info : BCG Attorney Search200 South Wacker Drive, 31st FloorChicago, Illinois, United States 60606Phone : (312) 321-9411Fax : (213) 895-7306#J-18808-Ljbffr
