DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
The University of Washington (UW), including the UW Academy (UWA), UW School of Medicine (SOM), and UW Medicine (UWM) recently implemented the Workday Financials ERP system. The UW Medicine FDM (Foundation Data Model) Analyst is accountable for managing, coordinating and maintaining all aspects of the Workday Foundation Data Model (FDM) on behalf of the clinical enterprise. The FDM serves as the primary critical master file for ensuring the correct classification and system process flow for all financial transactions across the UWM and UW.
This individual's primary accountability will be to monitor, respond to and resolve requests for FDM updates from across UWM, partnering with stakeholders, both from Finance and Operations, as well as with UWA counterparts, to ensure any updates to the FDM are appropriately evaluated, approved, defined, tested, implemented, communicated and documented.
In addition, the UWM FDM Analyst will maintain all aspects of the UWM Consolidated Close Calendar functionality within Workday, including but not limited to, ensuring scheduled dates and timelines are correct, ensuring any transaction or processing errors which may interfere with efficient subsystems' closing are cleared or resolved quickly and providing timely, accurate communication around closing schedule and status out to the various stakeholders.
