Job Title : Electrical Foreperson
Location : Fort Wayne, IN 46802
Shift Work Details : 1st Shift : 7 : 00am - 3 : 30pm, Monday to Friday
Job Description :
Minimum Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6 years of experience as an electrician in data centers, heavy industrial, pharmaceutical / biomedical environments, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in a supervisory or subcontract management role within a technical industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Leadership experience in analyzing Facilities Maintenance-related problems (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, Cranes and Hoists, etc.), identifying solutions, and improving asset reliability, quality, work conditions, and efficiency.
- Ability to work in aerial or scissor lifts at heights of up to 30 feet or higher.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational / time management skills.
- Current Indiana Electrical Journeyman license.
- Required state electrical license.
Preferred Qualifications :
Associate’s degree in Industrial Electrical or related skilled trade program.Knowledge of data center infrastructure.Additional Information :Pre-employment background check and substance abuse test required.Must be able to obtain a security access badge at the client’s location.Valid Driver’s license may be required.Possible need for various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules.Physical Requirements :
Repetitive wrist movements for some tasks.Ability to walk extensively throughout facilities.Requires climbing extension ladders, roof ladders, step ladders, and stairs.Ability to bend / stoop, squat, kneel, reach / stretch, and move in a 90-degree fashion during the workday.Ability to differentiate wire color-coding.Ability to read and understand documents or information on a computer screen.Ability to use office equipment and operate a computer keyboard to access databases, send / receive messages, and prepare documents.Ability to attend meetings and potentially travel to other locations.Ability to communicate effectively with others on the phone and in person (one-on-one or group discussions, meetings, and presentations).Fluency in computer use, including the full Microsoft product line.Ability to move light to medium weight materials into desks, filing cabinets, and other storage locations.Ability to interact with clients in a professional and friendly manner, even in stressful situations.Special Requirements :Required to wear safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Ability to cope with work-related stressors and maintain acceptable performance.Experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial production systems (e.g., switchgear, MCCs, capacitor banks).Experience working with chemicals, precision equipment, and highly regulated materials.Experience troubleshooting complex electrical systems.Experience diagnosing and repairing pumps, motors, gearboxes, supply / exhaust fans, and power transmission components.Experience troubleshooting and repairing cranes and hoists.Experience using measurement tools (e.g., micrometers, dial indicators, gauges, and calipers) to set tolerances to OEM specifications.Company Description
