Mechanical Engineer

Insight Global's client is looking for a Principle Mechanical Engineer to support their Eastern Tennessee region. The team they would be joining serves Power Generation and Industrial clients, so will be working on projects that can include hydropower plants, coal plants, gas plants, Chemical facilities, pulp and paper, etc. They will mainly be responsible for doing project walk-downs to assess equipment / projects and assist in the creation of scope, writing project proposals, stamping designs, budget, man-hours, cost, etc. Additionally, they will lead project equipment teams for the design and engineering of the new equipment for the plant. Most of the work is for modifications / retrofits to existing power plants but may include new builds from time to time.

Qualifications :

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
• PE License and experience stamping mechanical designs and proposals
• 10+ years of experience doing Mechanical piping design / engineering for either power plants or heavy industrial sites.
• Experience using pipe stress analysis software such as AFT Python, AFT Fathom, or Autopipe
