Overview

The position provides direct support of Regulatory Programs customer inquiries (i.e. phone calls, email, letters, etc.), vendor payment / invoicing, data entry / database updates, and other necessary administrative functions. This position has regular contact and interaction with customers, third party contractors, and other Company departments, such as Residential Service, Metering, Billing Integrity and Accounts Payable etc. Direction and assistance are provided primarily from Regulatory Program Managers but also receives direction from the ManagerRegulatory Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Handle intermediate level customer transactions and inquiries about Regulatory Programs with an expectation that all inquiries are to be handled in a courteous and timely manner to insure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct follow up inquires with customer and vendors to effective resolve problems.
  • Research customer accounts in Company databases.
  • Obtain correct customer usage energy history and provide information to necessary parties in the appropriate format.

Adhere to established department filing systems (hard copy and electronic)

  • Process invoices from vendors for payment.
  • Provide timely data entry and database updates.
  • Support departmental continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as directed by manager.

  • Qualifications

    Required Education

    High School Diploma with limited experience in office environment.

    Required Experience

  • Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, independent thinking and self-reliance.
  • Preferred Qualfilications

  • Associates or Bachelor degree in Business
  • Experience in a professional customer service environment
  • This position requires excellent PC / computer skills and a familiarity with databases and other related systems.
  • Working knowledge of Regulatory Programs
  • Must be able to perform at a high level of competency in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Working knowledge of the gas and / or electric utility business and associated customer processes to be able to effectively handle customer needs
  • Work Conditions

    Normal office environment. May occasionally visit off site customer or vendor locations.

    Physical Effort

    Primarily sitting with some standing, walking, stooping. Data entry and typing are regular and routine daily activities.
