Position Summary

Provides technical leadership to a team of Data Engineers and Architects who design, build, and maintain data pipelines. We are looking for someone who strives to be diverse in thought so we visualize the problem space. The Sr. Architect will significantly impact our trajectory and devise clear roadmaps to deliver next generation technology solutions. The individual in this role will have visibility at the highest levels and lead a body of work that will have broad impacts for consumers.

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers and architects to achieve exceptional results.
  • Spearhead the design and implementation of robust solutions for healthcare data management, with a focus on FHIR data standards.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of APIs, ensuring seamless integration within our ecosystem.
  • Leverage cloud technologies to optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval.
  • Drive best practices in software engineering, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering and architecture.
  • Demonstrated success in driving projects from conception to implementation.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Proven experience as a technical leader, managing and guiding teams to success.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare data and experience working with FHIR data standards.
  • Expertise in API setup and management, fostering efficient data communication.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) for scalable and secure data solutions.
  • Strong background in software engineering, with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable systems.
  • Preferred Qualifications

    Technically strong engineering leader who can challenge architecture and solution

    Still able to read & write code in Python & SQL, even if not spending time on it day-to-day.

    Experience with Google Cloud Platform

    Experience with healthcare data

    Experience managing managers and principal-level engineers.

    Adept at execution and delivery (planning, delivering, and supporting) skills

    Adept at collaboration and teamwork

    Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills

    Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills

    If working remotely, able to travel up to 10% of the time.

    Education

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Pay Range

    The typical pay range for this role is :

    140,000.00 - $280,000.00

    This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
