Windwalker Group is seeking dedicated Security Guards to support our team at Emerson College in downtown Boston. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, urban campus environment and play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Position Overview :

As a Security Guard assigned to Emerson College, you will serve as a frontline ambassador for campus safety. You'll be responsible for maintaining a secure, welcoming environment through professional presence, proactive observation, and responsive action.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Greet and manage all visitors at campus access control points with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with campus safety policies and security procedures.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive demeanor at all times.
  • Collaborate with Emerson College's Public Safety team and local / state law enforcement as needed.
  • Uphold high standards of conduct; demonstrate zero tolerance for non-professional behavior.
  • Participate in routine safety checks, incident reporting, and emergency preparedness drills.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with campus personnel and Windwalker management.
  • Deliver high-level customer service through daily interaction with students, faculty, staff, and guests.
  • Remain vigilant and responsive in dynamic campus settings and during special events.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Strong situational awareness and ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain and enforce safety protocols effectively.
  • Dependable, flexible, and able to manage a variety of security-related tasks.

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 2 years of prior security, public safety, or concierge experience.
  • Familiarity with surveillance systems and electronic access controls.
  • CPR, First Aid, AED, NARCAN, MOAB, or ACT I / II / III certifications highly preferred.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Criminal Justice or related field.
  • Experience in report writing, incident documentation, and conflict resolution.
