Summary of Position
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual who loves the world of local television? Join our team as a Seasonal Production Assistant and play a key role in supporting our creative endeavors. Check out the minimum qualifications and apply now to be a part of our live broadcasting for all home St. Paul Saint games! We have a great opportunity to join our CTN video production team as a temporary part-time Production Assistant I or Assistant II! We have opportunities to work with our remote production truck at a variety of sporting and community events. Some of our productions include the St. Paul Saints baseball games, and Coon Rapids High School sporting events. If you enjoy working a variety of production events and have on average 8-10 hours per week to dedicate to us we want to hear from you!
Duties vary by position but may include : camera operation, audio board, graphics operations, and video replay. Part-time hours fluctuate depending on department needs, and will include afternoon, evening and weekends hours.
Works under the general guidance and direction of the Station Manager to assist in the City's video productions and production service projects. Seasonal part-time hours fluctuate throughout the period of hire depending on department needs, but average approximately 8-10 hours per week for up to six months. These hours include evening and weekend hours.
Hiring salary range :
Seasonal part-time Production Assistant I : $18.44 - $19.51 / hour
Seasonal part-time Production Assistant II : $21.98 - $23.25 / hour.

Production Assistant I :
A combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to the following :
One year post secondary school in Communications field or work experience in television production field.
Production Assistant II : High School diploma or equivalent and a combination of training and experience substantially equivalent to the following : Three years post-secondary school in Communications field or work experience in television production field.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

EQUIPMENT / JOB LOCATION : The noise level and exposure to inclement weather varies, as work involves both location shoots and studio work. This position works closely with others.
