What we want

The Graduate Program Coordinator II, under general supervision, coordinates program support for the Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies Office. Responsible for Graduate Program assessment and reporting, data collection and analysis for the CVMBS Graduate Programs, and alumni tracking and engagement. Coordinates the professional development and student success programs for graduate students. Provides administrative support for the unit’s programs and events.

Required Education and Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Two years of experience in program coordination or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with program or project coordination and / or management

Experience with academic program assessment and reporting

Experience working with graduate students

Experience with maintaining databases

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others

Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word

Responsibilities

Coordination of Professional Development and Student Success Programs for Graduate Students : Coordinates the implementation of numerous professional development and student success programs for the graduate students within the College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences. Responsible for advertising, implementing, and follow up on all programs. Provides assessment of outcomes of these programs, so that strategic planning and development of new programs can be executed.

Course Development and Associated Administrative Activities : Facilitates course development and approval processes (CARS), oversees program proposals to ensure compliance, serves as the College Administrator for graduate catalog workflow and updates, ensuring accuracy in catalog content and graduate course requests, serves as a liaison for classroom allocation, and attends monthly Graduate Professional Council (GPC) meetings as the college liaison to assure that all college course requests are approved as appropriate by the committee before being routed to the Faculty Senate for final approval.

Graduate Advising : Acts as back-up graduate academic advisor during peak periods such as open registration, Q-drop, and graduation each semester to ensure our graduate students needs are met related to progress toward their degree. Works in conjunction with our primary Graduate Academic Advisor III for the school

Alumni Tracking : Responsible for maintaining a database of alumni for the CVM graduate programs. Develops and implements engagement strategies with alumni.

Administrative Support for Programs and Events : Provides administrative support for numerous events and programs for graduate students. Performs other duties as assigned.
