Summary
- A Prosthetic / Orthotic Technician fabricates, repairs and maintains orthoses and / or prostheses under the direction and supervision of a Certified Prosthetist, Orthotist and / or Pedorthist. They are proficient with current fabricating techniques, familiar with material properties and skilled in the use of all necessary equipment. May also be responsible for maintaining desired inventory of materials needed for prosthetic and orthotic fabrication, which can include ordering materials / parts, monitoring inventory and receiving and sending shipments.
