Job Overview

Hubbell Utility Solutions is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist with expertise in protection of SaaS and software solutions. Successful candidates will have hands-on experience defining least-privilege application security roles and rights as well as maintaining secure operation of hosted systems in compliance with industry standards. Aclara’s distribution operations, sensor and analytics, and AMI solutions help electric, water, and gas utilities provide safe, reliable, and efficient operations of their distribution networks. These solutions include monitoring, control, and analytics for the network, as well as providing the communications backbone for managing these networks. Due to the critical nature of the infrastructure managed by our solutions, verifiable security is a critical aspect of everything we do.

A Day In The Life

  • Own and drive a roadmap of corporate strategy items and security-related customer feature enhancements
  • Drive an operational security program that identifies risks and recommends solutions to ensure the security of SaaS solutions
  • Maintain current and implement new comprehensive sets of cybersecurity policies and procedures governing hosted and SaaS environments
  • Work side-by-side with the product management team to champion customer-specific requests in our priority backlog and to obtain appropriate third-party security and risk certifications with input from product managers
  • Responsibility for establishing standard cybersecurity contract terms for Hubbell Utility Solutions SaaS and software solutions
  • Respond to customer questionnaires & RFPs as needed
  • Act as Aclara’s liaison to Hubbell corporate security policies
  • Own and regularly test Aclara’s incident response and vulnerability management plan
  • Drive new controls for Aclara’s external audit procedures
  • Champion and advocate to internal teams and leadership on the most recent cybersecurity trends and internal resolutions or policies
  • Maintain a roadmap of corporate strategy items and security-related customer feature enhancements
  • Participate as product lead in vendor security audits
  • Participate as product lead for annual audits and penetration testing
  • Maintain and log data destruction and maintain policies around such practices
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies, participate in internal & external technology communities, and mentor other members of the engineering community
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
  • Meet with customers, as necessary to answer questions on Hubbell security architecture, contract terms, vulnerability management, policy and practices

What will help you thrive in this role?

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity role
  • Experience defining least-privilege application security roles and rights
  • Experience integrating with multiple single-sign on technologies and providers
  • Experience in maintaining secure operation of hosted systems
  • Expert ability to analyze complex designs to identify risks and recommend solutions
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience in cybersecurity for critical infrastructure
  • Experience with cybersecurity for multi-tenant SaaS solutions such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Experience with facilitation of third-party audits such as SOC-II
  • Experience with product management for a technology company
  • Proficient in developing security within, or security programs for, telecommunication networks
  • Working knowledge of implementing a cybersecurity program for a product development organization.
  • Working knowledge of developing products using an agile methodology
  • Security Certification (e.g., CISSP)
  • Prior experience with FedRAMP
  • Experience working with FERC, NERC, or NIST cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Experience prioritizing and addressing vulnerabilities
