Job descriptionBachelor's Degree Juris Doctor Minimum 8 years progressive experience in real estate and corporate law. Ability to effectively and clearly present complex legal information to tenants, top management, employees, prospective investors, government officials and the general public.
Our client, an American investment firm, is looking to hire a commercial counsel to their robust real estate legal team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Primary point of contact for documents related to the real estate investment business.
- Examine contracts and commercial documents related to real estate investments which include the acquisitions, leasing, financing and joint ventures, development and management of real estate assets.
- Collaborate and supervise the work of outside counsel.
- Partner with senior management in understanding potential substantial liabilities and obligations.
- Oversees compliance with applicable laws and contractual commitments
- Performs selected in-house legal work
- Assist in the management of tort litigation
- Assist in creation and updating of legal form documents
